wWe were told that she goes to bed by 9:30pm - however she was awake from the time we got her until about 8:30 so we thought we would feed her and then just put her to bed. They also told us she wakes at midnight to eat again. After falling asleep in my arms we put her in her bed. She continued to wake about every 5 minutes. We decided Rob would stay up with her for awhile trying to get her to go down soundly and I would sleep and then get up with her at midnight. Rob got her to sleep only about 10 minutes or so after I went to bed. Then she woke at around midnight and I went to get her. Her cry though sounded very sleepy and I thought I would wait a few minutes to see if she wakes all the way or not. Sure enough she fell back to sleep and slept the rest of the night until 7:30. We were relieved. I did not sleep that well though since every time I heard her move or make a noise it woke me up. Abraham as a cold and was coughing through the night but he did not wake up when she cried - I was glad of that. And even though he was coughing that did not seem to bother her.
This morning was a whirlwind. Our contact got us going at 9am bringing us here and there - telling us to sign papers, then wait, then show this person your passport then give that person a gift, then sit here and hold baby for picture. We also saw about 20 other families with their kids. Most are from Spain. We met another couple staying at our hotel who is from Ohio -this is their first child and they have been married 22 years! Eden seemed the most content of all the children there - am I that biased already?! Rob had her in the sling while we were doing all our errands and she did so good just looking around. She seems like a really content baby - after she eats she is fine to sit and play with her toys and laugh at Abraham. He told me today he likes her! That is great to hear.

I love reading these stories of your first moment(s) with Eden. What a great record for the years to come. Praising God with you!
Hi guys Oma again.
Everyday I can't wait to get on your blog to see how everyone is doing. Even they told you Edens sleep habits, it's good you let her go and she fell back to sleep. It kind of sounds like they were too quick to get her when she woke. Ane it does sound like she's very content...you're not bias. I like the picture of her smiling.
